About the development
This property was acquired by Bentall on behalf of bcIMC in late 2004 and has since been successfully repositioned from a local mall to a regional centre serving Victoria’s five Western Communities. Situated in the City of Langford on the western side of Victoria, Westshore Town Centre today consists of an enclosed mall with some larger format retailers that have external storefronts as well as several free-standing pads. Plans are underway to develop the adjacent parcel, to be called Westshore Village. This will include a 62,000 sq. ft. building and a 6,200 sq. ft. free-standing pad. Completion is expected by the summer of 2009.
Size
The site accommodates approximately 335,000 sq. ft. of retail space, including the original 193,000 sq. ft. enclosed mall, which has been substantially renovated and remerchandised. Ongoing redevelopment work has involved over 180,000 sq. ft.
