David joined Bentall in 2000 with over 20 years experience in the real estate investment industry in Canada.  Previously, he was Vice President, Real Estate Investment with RT Realty Advisors, where for almost 10 years he played a leading role in business development, acquisition, leasing, development and asset management. Prior to this, he was a development manager with The Prudential Insurance Company of America. David has a BComm from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

Malcolm is responsible for the operations of the Investment Management Group as well as Bentall's pooled funds and many separate accounts. He joined Bentall in 1987 after spending eight years at Coopers & Lybrand in Vancouver and London, England, where he obtained his CA designation. Malcolm has a BComm from UBC. He is a director of the Institute of Canadian Real Estate Investment Managers and a frequent speaker at industry functions.

John Purcell is Senior Vice President & Portfolio Manager of the Investment Management Group.  Based in Vancouver, John is responsible for portfolio performance and asset management activities of commercial and multi-residential properties on behalf of Bentall’s largest separate account pension fund client, bcIMC.  Prior to joining Bentall, John was a senior executive of CHIP REIT, a leading Canadian REIT focused on investment and management in the hotel sector, where he was responsible for acquisitions and corporate development activities.  John stared his career as a lawyer with Davies, Ward & Beck in Toronto, where he focused on real estate and asset-backed financing and participated in numerous leading real estate acquisition and restructuring transactions.
